Massese Analysis: Defense Needs Improvement, Promising Attack
Massese must start from an internal analysis: weak defense, intermittent midfield, attack led by Buffa.

Coach Pisciotta
Massa What worked and what didn't in this year's Massese? The team's planning for next year should start from this internal analysis. Let's try to do a department-by-department analysis.
THE DEFENCE With an average of more than one goal conceded per game (1,1), Massese did not have a strong point in the defensive department. Only 6 teams out of 20 have conceded more goals than the Bianconeri (33). Tiziano Andrei was the man who contributed most to raising the level of the defensive package and when he passed away his absence was felt. Matteo Mapelli proved to be a good purchase, especially for his ability to push forward and score (5 goals in the championship).
THE MIDFIELD He has been intermittent. The injury of Tommaso Bertipagani (3 goals) has certainly caused the loss of a fundamental cog in providing rhythm and intensity at a crucial moment of the season. Fortunately, the player born in 2003 will be able to return to competitive activity and this is great news for him and also for Massese. Joel Anich (5 goals) has convinced, Mariani has had a decent impact since January while Costanzo's performance has been declining. Due to age issues, a replacement for Brizzi will be necessary. The midfield sector as a whole will necessarily need more than one piece.
THE ATTACK It was all about Michael Buffa who, like the previous year, did not disappoint expectations. With 19 goals this season, including 16 in the league, he once again placed himself on the podium in the scorers' rankings. In this particular department, in the end, the numbers count, which also prove Yari Ferrara right, who arrived in Massa as a mystery but was capable of scoring 5 goals from January onwards. Overall, Massese proved to be a team with a good scoring ability, demonstrated by the fourth best attack in the group (43 goals).
