Atletico Carrara celebrates salvation, mister Secchiari announces a break

Commenting on the situation is mister Augustus Secchiari: "It was a hard-fought salvation, but deserved. An incredible joy and emotion, also because with six days to go we were third from bottom in the standings. I have to thank the boys for the seriousness shown throughout the season. I have won a lot as a coach and as a player and I consider this salvation as the victory of a championship".

The coach has clear ideas about his future: "The intention is to take a break because I want to distance myself from too much tension and by stress. Most likely I will take a bit of a break, also because the years are starting to get long and it is right to leave space for the youngsters". A decision that the club will have no choice but to accept, even if it would very likely have preferred to continue the journey together: "Let's say that inside the club they are not happy with my choice - says the coach - because they would like to start again with me. However, I have to stop and it is therefore better to make things clear from the start, without second thoughts. It is a question of respect - he concludes - towards everyone".
