No "double" for OR Reggio Emilia. After winning the Serie A2 championship last week with 2 rounds to spare, the city team came close to winning the Coppa Italia in the category, surrendering in the final in Jesi to the Romans of Italpol, who were able to take advantage of two opposing "blackouts" during the match. The team from the capital went ahead in the 4th minute with goalkeeper Basile, who kicked long and took advantage of Fornari's tackle on Martino Piccioni (photo), the latter protagonist with 3 saved penalties in the semifinal against Real Fabrica, to sign the 1-0. At that point Lancellotti, awarded as MVP of the Final Four, took the stage, striking twice in the space of 2 minutes, bringing his team to 3-0; OR, wounded, reopened the game with a strike from Homsi and went to -1 with a free kick in the middle of the second half from Ruggiero. The illusion of being able to get back on track ends in a few moments: Fornari, who on the "killer's" set piece had opened his legs deceiving his goalkeeper, makes it 4-2 with a precise conclusion on the second post, then Esposito and the unleashed Lancellotti make their teammates fly to 6-2. Fation Halitjaha, in the end, makes it 6-3, a result that in no way diminishes the path of a team that has gone well beyond its limits.
