Italian football after the stop on Monday, the day of the death of Pope Francesco, pauses for a minute of silence in his memory. Following the death of the pontiff, the FIGC has ordered that all matches scheduled from yesterday, Tuesday 22 April, until Sunday 27 April, including any postponed matches, open with a moment of silence. Therefore also the match scheduled for this afternoon at 18 pm at the Molinari in Campobasso.

In group A and group C, which have already played the penultimate day of the championship, the teams from 2nd to 10th place will take part in the promotion playoffs, but Group B has a potential place in addition: Rimini, having won the Coppa Italia Serie C, is already certain of access to the National Phase of the play-offs, and therefore makes the 11th position also valid. The most important verdict is the one that saw the promotion to B series ofEntella with two rounds to spare. In addition, the teams of Ternana, Torres, Pescara, Arezzo, Vis Pesaro, Pineto, Pianese are already certain of qualification. Still in the running for two places, there are therefore Pontedera, Gubbio, Carpi, Perugia and, albeit with little chance, Campobasso.

Going in order, Pontedera could qualify with certainty today if they beat Rimini and also saw Carpi and Perugia lose; the same goes for Gubbio, for whom a draw by Emilia and Umbria would be enough. Campobasso is practically eliminated, and if they were to see at least one of the four teams mentioned win, they would be out. To be sure of third place, Torres would only need to win against Carpi.
