Cerbaia: New project for the 2025-26 season with Maestrelli

A few weeks after the end of the championship, at home Cerbaia it's time to think about the future. For a few days the DS Maurizio Maestrelli is working for the new 2025-'26 season. After the consensual separation with the coach Francis Saconi, the promoter of a two-year period of excellent collaboration combined with a 7th place, there are other substantial novelties.

"After having concluded this historical cycle – Maestrelli points out – we have decided to start again with a new project, rebuilding a basis that is valid for starting again with enthusiasm for the second consecutive year in Promotion, with some new goalkeepers and the addition of several young players. In the meantime, I can announce that the following have been reconfirmed: Federico Lotti, Jacopo Marchetti, Mirko Pinzauti, Leonardo Mannelli, Luca Fontanelli, Lorenzo Pecci, Manuel Cei, Samuele Bandelli, Lorenzo Calvetti, Leonardo Mazzoni, Assan Ebengue".

Who will leave Cerbaia? "Giuliano Diegoli, Iacopo Orsolini, Abdennahim Zahouani, Andrea Maio, Claudio Nicusor Enache, Simone and Alessandro Vignozzi, players to whom we are grateful".

How did the separation with coach Sacconi come about. Will the bench be entrusted to Silvio Cei? "After a beautiful two-year journey that began in the First Category, it was a consensual farewell. A wonderful cycle, concluded with a historic salvation that we had never faced in our history. For the new coach, we will have to wait a few more days".
