Matteo Rizzi, Corticella's striker
It ends with a useless victory in the derby against the already safe Sasso Marconi the regular season of the Corticella by Michele Nesi. The white and blues have done their duty, but the concomitant victory of San Marino at the home of the already relegated United Riccione will force Rizzy (author of a brace) and his teammates are playing for their permanence in the category in playout home against the Sammaurese next Sunday at Biavati.
But coming to the match report, Corticella started strong and, in the 3rd minute, Gessaroli found himself all alone in front of Albieri, but kicked high. In the 10th minute, Casadei came close to scoring with a shot from outside the area that grazed the post and, in the 19th minute, the many efforts made produced the desired results: Morisi served Rizzi splendidly who, one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper, beat him. Ten minutes passed and the local striker managed to repeat himself: this time it was Cavallini who allowed the home number 9 to present himself in front of the goalkeeper and beat him.
Sasso, who for this last match gave space to boys who found less, felt the blow and, at the half hour mark, Corticella scored the third goal with a nice shot by Ercolani. Shaken, Pedrelli's men began to press to try to reopen the match and, at 34', Mancini managed to find the 3-1 with a precise tap-in on a short rebound by the defense.
At the start of the second half, the home team managed to ice the match: Rizzi was brought down in the area by Albieri and Bezziccheri converted from the penalty spot, setting the final score at 4-1.
