Three goals and one assist in eight appearances, only five of which as a starter. Ernest Torregrossa is becoming a “factor“ for the Carrarese. The Italian-Venezuelan had arrived in Carrara surrounded by a certain aura of skepticism after things had not gone well for him in both Pisa and Salerno, but now he is silencing every voice with goals and high-level performances. "Ernesto couldn't see the goal before simply because he wasn't playing – the coach clarified with a joke Antonio Calabro –. We are happy with him and he is a player who can still give us a lot because he trains well and is an exceptional guy as are all the new arrivals".

The latter against his former team was a very important goal, just like the spectacular backheel against Sudtirol and the goal against Bari. "This goal was really important," confirmed the person concerned, "because it allowed us to take a big step forward. I'm very happy with the goal but even more so with the result and the team's performance. We believed in it so much because we know what our value is. We knew what kind of match awaited us and we approached it in the right way. We played an almost perfect game. Maybe after that second disallowed goal we were a little discouraged for those five minutes but we managed to recover. We had a few chances again and then we held on." In injury time, Carrarese took a big risk and Torregrossa gave his interpretation: "It's true that the post also helped us, but I believe that in the end, in an entire championship, when you do well and something goes wrong or you're a little unlucky, at the end it comes back and with that post there, maybe something that had been taken away from us in the past came back."

Despite the success, the thirty-two-year-old striker did not commit himself on the percentages of salvation of Carrarese. "I do not know how to give salvation odds but, as the coach said during the week, this was a decisive match and having won it makes us very satisfied. There are still four games to go and the next one we will go to Sassuolo to get a result there too. Until we are mathematically safe we will not give up anything but not even after that because this is our nature. Here in Carrara I found a truly hungry environment and to play football you need that. I am happy because I am getting some satisfaction and I am helping the team to reach a really important objective".
