The Ferrarese celebrate 'Caplit'

The last day of the championship took place on Sunday 6th April. Serie B Central East 2024/25, which saw the involvement of the Ferrara Capital away to Tuscany to face the two Empoli teams: Chili Wallers e Blue WallersThe two teams, together with Caplit, occupied the positions from fifth to seventh in the group, consequently the eve was full of anticipation for the very important matches that would decide the final classification, with the young Ferrarese looking for a fifth place that would have been unexpected at the start of the season.

The first match saw the Chili Wallers, already winners in the first leg, face the Caplit: the Ferrara team started very strong, with great cleanliness of play and cynicism, finishing the first half with a 10-point advantage. Despite the large margin, in the second half the Chili's experience made itself felt, going to rest before the last one with the score perfectly tied. Even the last 15 minutes were played without one team being able to forcefully impose itself on the other, until the victory by just one point of the Empoli team, who unlike the Caplit were lucid in taking advantage of the last opportunities, with the score of 50 to 49.

Last chance to grab fifth place for Caplit in the challenge with the Blue Wallers: the Empoli players, at their third match of the day, take to the field tired while Caplit manage to improve their performance compared to what was seen in the first match, putting great energy on the field and remaining attentive for the entire match, finding fresh strength and fearlessness in the long bench to bring home a very important victory: at the end of the 45 minutes of play the scoreboard reads 54 to 51 for Ferrara, with Caplit exploding in uncontainable joy for having obtained fifth place at the end of a growing season.

"The objective in the standings has been achieved, even if with 2 less victories than we hoped for - says Matteo Cristofori, coach of Caplit - Their technical level has grown a lot and a nice harmony has also been created in the team that has made them more united, waiting for the next season we have two months of fundamental work to improve even more and aim for the playoffs next year", while Luca Missanelli, also a coach, adds "It's strange to think that it's already over, but we can't wait to get to September even stronger and even more charged. Above all, I hope that the boys remain the wonderful team that they have shown themselves to be, even this time".
