Record rain of almost 160 participants in the tricolour kermesse branded Fisdir. The weekend dedicated to athletes with intellectual-relational disabilities closed the double appointment of the Italian Paralympic Athletics Indoor Championships under the aegis of Fispes and Fisdir, held at PalaCasali and Campo Italico Conti in Ancona. Once again, the organization of Anthropos Civitanova led by President Nelio Piermattei, with the patronage of the Marche Region and the municipality of Ancona, was impeccable.
After the 38 new Italian records set last weekend by Fispes athletes (including gold medalists at the Paris Paralympics, Assunta Legnante and Rigivan Ganeshamoorthy), this weekend there were ten new Italian records: in the 60 meters category I3 women, Agnese Spotorno (Cambiaso Risso For Special Genova); in the 400 meters I2 men, Tiziano Capitani (ACLI Terzo Millennio Roma); in the 400 meters I3 men, Andrea Mattone (Anthropos Civitanova); in the 1500 meters I2 men, Giuseppe Di Marzo (Telimar Tempo Libero Mare). Triplet for the champion Salvatore Bianca (Anthropos Civitanova) in the 60 meters hurdles, in the Pentathlon and in the triple jump. An Italian record also in the 4×400 meters I2 men's relay for the Aspea Padova sports club with Michele Zugno, Alessandro Masiero, Roberto Casarin and Giovanni Zaramella. The list of winners closed with two Italian records by Alice Sorato (Sorriso Riviera Onlus) in the 1500 meters walk I2 women, and by Luca Venturelli in the 3000 meters cat. I3.
A positive and growing balance with over 420 athletes in total involved in the two Italian championships, Fispes and Fisdir, representing 52 sports associations from all over the peninsula.
