José Antonio Gómez Márquez, born in 2004, in art Joselito. Director by profession, capable of combining important technical skills with a fair amount of physical prowess. The Perugia he took it from the Verona in the January market. He threw him into the fray, handing him the keys to a jammed car. The race, then, was not won, but at least the car started up again. To those who point out that the first thing that caught the eye was the strong personality despite his age, he replies. "The football It's my life, my job and I must not be afraid. If you want to be a playmaker you have to have personality."

Born in Spain, who grew up in his neighborhood team, burns the stages: at 7 years old he moves to the youth sector of Seville, at 15 years old he transfers to Coria and from under age he plays with the Primavera and then makes 23 appearances in the first team. In the summer of 2020 the move to Verona which beats the competition of Fulham, Betis and Real Sociedad. Some recent problems with the club and the permanent move to the red and white (the Verona has 30 percent on future resale).

"The impact with the Perugia – he continues – it was nice. It had been a while since I played. It was my rebirth. I arrived in an important place, it reminded me so much of my hometown team. Here there is history, public, love for the football".

How did he find the championship, however? Serie C? "It's a tough, "dirty" championship, with great intensity. In Spain the game is more fluid."

Do you prefer to play in a two or three-man midfield? "I prefer the three-man midfield – continues Joselito – Because as a playmaker you are the one who makes the team go round, I like having the ball. I was born as a mezzala, also an attacking midfielder, then Corrent at Verona "He moved me to play."

How do you think you've improved this season? "Physically, but also in many defensive situations that have helped me. I think I've already gained more experience."

What does he still need to grow in? "Even more from a physical point of view and above all I would like to give a hand to the attack, maybe with some assists. The goals? Let's say that it's been a while since I scored, but with Sestri Levante I made Montevago score".

What does Cangelosi ask of her? "I have a good relationship, he has clear ideas, he asks for a type of football that we are still learning. He tells me that I like having the ball at my feet but that I have to speed up. I get along well with him."

What do you expect from next season? "I hope to go to Serie B. Because a place like this can't stay in C, there's everything to go up. But we have to improve away from home, something has to click on a mental level".

Who surprised you? "Dell'Orco and Angella. Playing with them on the pitch seemed too easy for me. Then Amoran for his physical strength, Kanoute in one-on-one situations."
