World Peace Championship 2025: Multicultural Tournament in Perugia

The second edition of the Mondialito per la Pace will be held in Perugia, combining sport and culture with 12 multicultural teams.

After the great success of the first edition, the World Peace Day returns with even more enthusiasm, passion and participation. The second edition of the tournament will take place from June 14th to July 20th, every Saturday and Sunday, at the stadium of Italian Football Federation (FIGC) from Prepo to Perugia.

The event was presented in the Sala Rossa of Palazzo dei Priori, in the presence of the councilors Pierluigi Vossi (sport) and Costanza Spera (social policies), the president of the organizing committee Eric Ganje, the vice president of the regional committee of the FIGC Claudio Tomassucci, the vice president of the organizing committee Omgba Andrè. The World Peace Day 2025 will see 12 teams on the field representing the many souls of the migrant community and natives present in Umbria. The nations represented will be: Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Congo, Italy, Ecuador, Nigeria, Gambia, Albania, together with the Africa United team, symbol of the union between the different African identities present in the territory.

The tournament will not be alone Soccer. Each day will be enriched by ceremonies and cultural performances, artistic exhibitions and moments of community reflection, creating a climate of celebration, meeting and dialogue. "I am happy that these kids, through the tournament, can experience our city as protagonists, giving everyone, including the so-called "invisible", the opportunity to participate in sport and in life", said Councilor Vossi who concluded by saying that sport, with its values, has a fundamental role within society: to accompany talents, but, at the same time, to involve those who have been left behind, making them feel part of a cohesive community.
