It will be a match with no significance for the standings but the Perugia wants to say goodbye to his rather embittered fans in the best possible way. The opponent of the match at the Curi will be Pontedera by Leonardo Menichini who in the previous round won the play off.

It is difficult to predict Cangelosi's intentions for this final match of the season, but the feeling is that the team on the field is very close to the last ones lined up, for better or for worse.

In defense, in front of Gemello, Leo should find space on the right lane, Riccardi and Plaia (who has never found space in recent weeks) in the center of the back line and Giraudo to complete the line. In the middle of the field there will be space for Joselito as director, together with Giunti and Di Maggio. While in attack there could be space for Kanoute on the right, Montevago in the center and Seghetti to complete the trident.

“The match against Pontedera has symbolic importance, not for the standings, but we want to finish this championship with dignity, which has been up and down,” Meluso said about the match that will close Perugia’s season. “We expect the team to put in a high-level performance even if the match is not important for the points.”

Pontedera will have a different climate as they will be coming to Perugia without some players, at least at the start. In fact, Menichini will leave out the players who are at risk of suspension and those who are not at their best to avoid disqualifications or injuries in view of the first match of the play off scheduled for next week.
