Perugia U17 triumphs 5-4 against Avellino in the scudetto pool

Gatti's Under 17 (yesterday disqualified) wins, provides entertainment and emotions in the first leg of the eighth finals of the scudetto group, overturning the result. It ends 5-4 for the red and whites at the end of a crazy comeback as Avellino had taken a 3-0 lead.

The guests took the lead in the 12th minute with Delishi, who was able to finish off a cross from the left flank. In the 21st minute, D'Auria doubled the lead. Shortly after, an error in the build-up phase allowed Delishi to fly towards the goal and score the 3-0. A blow for anyone. Instead, Perugia immediately closed the gap in the 40th minute thanks to a penalty caused by Agnissa and coolly converted by Bellali. The score went to half-time with the score 3-1 in favor of Avellino.

The second half opens with a sprint start from the red and whites. Ciani, fed by Bellali, gets past several opponents and finishes with precision for 3-2. Shortly after, however, Avellino re-establishes the distance with a splendid free kick from Delishi. Brunori closes the gap again a minute later, good at exploiting a rebound in the area to put the ball into the net for 3-4. The equalizer (4-4) comes on another penalty kick caused by Perugini and converted again by Bellali. Avellino also gets a penalty kick but Delishi hits the outside post, thus missing his fourth personal goal. In the minutes of injury time, Perugia completes the comeback with Bartolini who makes it 5-4.

In a week's time the return match with the red and whites who absolutely must not lose since, with equal goals, Avellino will advance to the next round by virtue of their better position in the championship.
