End of year sprint Pisa in form. Moreo and Tramoni towards ownership

Stefano Moreo, Pisa Sporting Club striker, born in 1993

Last straight of 2024. Four games left to play: Bari at home, Modena away, Sassuolo at home and Sampdoria away (in the first of the return round). The goal is to get as many points as possible, before the two-week winter break. And in this final sprint, the Pisa it seems to arrive there in a continuous crescendo of conditions.

The infirmary, in fact, is becoming increasingly empty after the crowding created in November, and Inzaghi returns to having at its disposal – in top form – its attacking midfielders. Mantua was just a taste (and what a taste…) for Stephen Moreo. After twenty days in the pits to recover from a sore calf, number 32 declared immediately after the match: "I'm not at my best yet, I didn't have ninety minutes in my legs, but I'm working to be at my best against Bari".

Recovered in great form, and carefree after having scored his first goal – and what a goal – of the season, Moreo should find himself at his side again Matteo Tramoni. Inzaghi had announced his call-up to Mantua with a bit of pre-tactics: "We're bringing him because his presence is good for the group, we hope we don't have to use him". Instead, he played twenty minutes, excellent for recovering game rhythm and preparing himself as best as possible for the next match, where Matteo Tramoni will most likely return from the first minute.

Pisa will thus return to fielding its ace and its three of trumps at the same time. The last time this happened was a month ago on November 9, in the 3-0 win over Sampdoria. Should Inzaghi decide to use the Italian-French player during the match, Arena would be proposed again from the first minute.

Vignato's presence is less likely, however, despite the number 10 immediately returning to work with the group after the blow to his ankle that forced him to miss the Mantua match. No news regarding Jan Mlakar, who will almost certainly remain in the infirmary on Friday. He is practically the only injured Nerazzurri player (with the exception of Leris and Esteves: we must not forget that Pisa is second in the standings without two who would have been essential elements).

In fact, for a week now Olimpiu morutan takes part regularly in the group training. Obviously the Romanian is recovering from a serious injury such as a ruptured Achilles tendon, but his return is now upon us. Inzaghi will very, very unlikely call him up for Friday, while the percentages of him appearing on the bench in Modena are rising considerably. In short, Pisa arrives at the hardest moment in the best physical shape, now all that remains is not to make any missteps.
