Riccione, April 16, 2025 - Sara Curtis in star shape: second Italian record in a row for the young swimmer at the Riccione Spring Absolutes. After having shattered the record in the 100 freestyle yesterday Federica Pellegrini (53"01), the 2006 class swimmer from the Army Sports Centre does the double today in the 50, closing the heats in 24 "52 and thus improving its previous national limit by 4 cents.

Last April, the Piedmontese sprinter erased the 24"72 set by Silvia Di Pietro (Carabinieri/CC Aniene), second in 25"12, for fourth place in Rome 2022. The time of the 18-year-old from Savigliano was sensational - Member of the Army and CS Roero, coached by Thomas Maggiora and European junior silver in Belgrade 2023 - swims with a time that is worth the fifth world performance of the year and is aiming for a third triumph after also dominating the 50m backstroke on the opening day.

Filippo Megli (Carabinieri, 1'47"43) clocks the best time in the 200 freestyle with the talented Davide Dalla Costa and Carlos D'Ambrosio on the tail. Alberto Razzetti (Fiamme Gialle, 52"18), Federica Toma (CS Carabinieri, 1'01"20) and Christian Bacico (CS Esercito, 1'59"08) roared respectively in the 100 butterfly, 100 and 200 backstroke. Paola Borrelli (Fiamme Gialle, 2'10"64) did well in the 200 butterfly and Christian Mantegazza (Fiamme Gialle, 2'12"95) in the 200 breaststroke.
