Disappointing season for the red and whites: three coaches and no placings

One of the events ends on Sunday most disappointing seasons of recent years. I red and white with three different coaches they failed to even reach eleventh place, an additional opportunity granted by Rimini who won the Italian Cup. Three coaches who worked in a season characterized for a good part by injuries but still they couldn't find the right key in away from home. Why Vincenzo Cangelosi, in the saddle for the next two years, has at least given a boost to the Steal with the only regret being the match against Sestri Levante.

In the beginning it was Formisano, coach currently in the play-offs with Pianese. His journey tells of eleven games that have brought home 13 points (seven at home and six away) with three wins, four draws and as many defeats. Poor home performance, but at least he remains the only coach to have brought home an away win, in Ascoli. His average points per game is 1,18.

After the home defeat against Milan, Futuro arrives Lambert Zauli, perhaps the one who suffered the most from the series of injuries. The final score is still disappointing, with all the mitigating circumstances of the case. Zauli led the Perugia in 16 games, he has achieved three wins, seven draws and six defeats, with 12 points earned at Curi and four away: average points of 1 per game.

The latest arrival, Cangelosi, inherited a critical situation, with the team close to the red zone. In the 10 matches on the bench, the coach has scored a poker of successes at Curi (13 points at home in 5 games) but unfortunately he has not managed to change the trend away: 2 points in 5 games. It would have taken very little, very little indeed (even one goal less in Campobasso), to at least give some meaning to the last day. But his score is clearly superior to that of the others: with one game to go, Cangelosi has earned 15 points in 10 games, an average of 1,5 per match. A path not for promotion but for a good play-off position.
