Great success for the Strasimeno, now in its 23rd edition. The event welcomed a river of runners who surrounded the Lake Trasimeno on the most important Sunday of the year, for the Umbrian lake basin. Five races at the same time, involving all the main villages of the territory, for a challenge whose resonance has now gone beyond national borders.

The classic ultramarathon of 58 km reserved an all-foreign podium for the men with the British Henry Hart to re-establish his dominance after two years: 3h19'18” the time of the Scottish standard-bearer of the Belgrave Harriers, who dominated the race, detaching the strong Spaniard Felix Pont Chafer by 9'30”. Third position for the outgoing champion, the Ukrainian Evgenii Glyva of the organizing company Asd Filippide Avis Castiglione del Lago-Dlf, at 34'05”.

Italian revenge among women with Federica Moroni (Atl.Rimini Nord) who returns to winning after 2023 and extends her enormous series of victories between marathons and ultras by winning the race in 4h18'27”, with 9'30” on the Croatian Marija Vraijc, the outgoing champion. Third Eleonora Rachele Corradini (Grottini Team) at 9'46”.

In the marathon, victory went to Massimiliano Di Serio (Pol.Atl.Igiglio) in 2h41'38” ahead of Federico Badiani (Gs Orecchiella) at 7'32” and Derek Bowsher (Pol.Ellera) at 9'30”. In the 34 km, Andrea Rofena (Atl.Montefiascone) took the lead in 2h06'38” ahead of Marco Giuseppe Menonna (Up Policiano) by 8” and Alessandro Tartaglini (Up Policiano) by 58”, while Romanian Roxana Maria Girleanu (GP Parco Alpi Apuane) won the women's race in 2h25'32”.

In the half marathon, another success for the Burundian from Atl.Castello Leonce Bukuru, already first in Novara this year, who in 1h09'20” prevailed by 3'59” over Michele Pastorini (Up Policiano) and by 6'47” over Lorenzo Rossi (Olympic Runners Lama). Bukuru's compatriot, Violette Ndayikengurukiye, winner in 2025 in Monteforte d'Allpone (VR) and Novara, won among the women in 1h24'38”.

Finally the 10 km which rewarded the Kenyan Simon Kibet Loitanyang (Up Policiano) in 30'57” ahead of Samuele Cesaroni (Pol.Chianciano) at 3'27” and Lorenzo Martinelli (Gs Il Fiorino) at 3'29”. First woman Giulia Sadocchi (Up Policiano) in 39'04” preceding Benedetta Rossi (Atl.Castello) at 1'17” and Ana Nanu (Atl.Casone Noceto) at 2'16”.

In addition to the 5 competitive events, there were 4 more non-competitive events, also designed around the lake. In total, the arrivals, only in the competitive events, were 1.127, a long multicolored snake that surrounded the entire lake.
