CYCLINGAnother feat for Tadej pogacar. Slovenian conquers the Vallone Arrow for the second time in his career two years after the success of 2023. All thanks to a dry attack from afar prepared thanks to a perfect forcing of the UAE Emirates XRG, an acceleration that broke down the resistance of the opponents, first of all Remco Evenepoel.

Pogacar signed his sixth personal victory of the season - the 94th of his career - preceding Vauquelin, Frenchman of Arkéa - B&B Hotels, still second after a year, by 10” and the British Pidcock by 12” who took the Q36.5 to the third step of the podium. "It's a great feeling to win here again - explained the Slovenian -, on this tough final. To have finished with a victory means a lot, I'm ready for Liège on Sunday".

Big disappointment for two of the favorites, Thibau Nys (Lidl-Trek) and Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step), who finished this edition of the Flèche Wallonne in eighth and ninth place respectively. A bad sign for Liège. Only one Italian in the top twenty: Davide Formolo (Movistar) in sixteenth place, then to find Christian Scaroni (XDS-Astana) you have to go down to 23rd place, while Simone Velasco (XDS-Astana) arrived 28th.

In the women's third place for Elisa Longo Borghini, behind Puck Pieterse and Demi Volleringal, fifth career podium in this race. Marco Frigo signed the feat in the third stage of the Tour of the Alps and at the finish line in San Candido he took his first victory among the professionals. Michael Storer retained the leader's jersey of the general classification.
