Tarros, direct salvation hanging by a thread
The outcome of tonight's match between Varese and Siena is decisive: only the Lombards' victory would allow the team to celebrate without the play-offs

Francesco Morciano, wing-pivot of Tarros Spezia, in the match was the author of 23 points

SERRAVALLE - The Tarros season continues at 99%. The math will only be known this evening with the outcome of the match between Campus Varese and Virtus Siena: only the success of the Lombards would allow the team of president Danilo Caluri to celebrate. Therefore, even the last success, the 11th (on the field) out of 12 games, in Serravalle will most likely not allow coach Mori's boys to finish with salvation, which instead will have to pass through the play-outs that start on the weekend of May 10-11. The simultaneous victories of Olimpia Firenze in Turin and the probable one of Virtus Siena in Varese in fact keep the distances in the standings unchanged from the two Tuscan teams that together with Mens Sana Siena are saved while the black and whites remain at the foot of the podium and will now play for permanence in B Interregionale in the play-outs. Unfortunately, the defeat at the table in Turin ultimately had a significant impact, weighing like a millstone on the season that now continues with the play-outs postponed by a week to allow Collegno, Varese and Turin to play the Under 19 national finals. "Unfortunately, the 11 victories obtained on the field in 12 games played were not enough - Marco Mori comments bitterly - and despite this I wanted to congratulate the boys for their dedication and attachment. In Serravalle we played in an up-and-down manner already knowing the result in Turin so it was not easy for the boys to take home the victory that nevertheless came". Now Tarros, after a few days of rest, will return to the gym to prepare for the play-out that will most likely be played against Gallarate, in fact the Collegno-Castelfiorentino match scheduled for May 3rd is still missing to officially establish the play-out crossovers that are expected to be the best of 3 games: Sunday 11th at the PalaSprint, then Wednesday night away from home and the possible tiebreaker at the PalaSprint on Sunday 18th. Tarros must win two to finally close the season otherwise they will have to face another series of play-outs always in the best of 3 games.
