Fortitudo, Flavio Portaluppi is the new general manager
Management appointment for Effe, with the former president of Milan who will work with Caja in building the team

Bologna, June 11, 2025 - Now it's official, Flavio Portaluppi is the new General Manager of the Fortitude Bologna. The confirmation from the company arrived with a press release in the early afternoon, but the former flag of Olimpia Milano and manager of the Stesse Scarpette Rosse and Cremona is the new gm of Effe. A charismatic and highly esteemed figure in Italian basketball, Flavio Portaluppi boasts a curriculum of the highest level both for his career as a player and for his career as a manager.
Born in Milan, Portaluppi grew up playing basketball in the youth sector of Olimpia Milano, with whom he won an Italian Cup and a Korac Cup.
In the experimental Italian national team, led on the bench by Attilio Caja, he won the silver medal at the 1997 Mediterranean Games. In total, Portaluppi played more than 400 games in Serie A, scoring over 4.200 points.
As a manager, Portaluppi began his career in the two-year period 2010-2012 as DS of Vanoli Cremona, once again combining his path with that of coach Attilio Caja, with whom he has known and had a long-standing relationship of esteem.
Portaluppi subsequently returned to Milan where he held the positions of Team Manager, Sporting Director, CEO and President.
As a manager, he contributed to the victory of 3 league titles (2014, 2016, 2018), 2 Italian Cups (2016, 2017) and 2 Super Cups (2016, 2017). After leaving Olimpia Milano, Portaluppi returned to Vanoli Cremona for two years as General Manager. Now the new adventure under the Two Towers.
