Attilio Caja aims to resume the pursuit of the top positions in the standings

Bologna, 22 March 2025 - Win to get back on track towards the top of the rankings. Second consecutive home challenge for Fortitudo who will take to the field tomorrow afternoon at 18pm at PalaDozza to face Nardò. On the day that celebrates 55 years of Fossa, the Flats Service is called to give confirmation on the field to relaunch its ranking ambitions, even if the Apulians are fearsome opponents. In recent days, coach Attilio Caja had spoken about both the match with Urania Milano and the challenge with Nardò. "We come from a match with Urania Milano where we - in fact - played two games in one. A first half where the defense was not what it should have been against talented players while, in the second half, we did the opposite, giving little to our opponents. In general, we had a great defense in the second half. Thanks to the crowd, who supported us even when we were in difficulty. A difficult victory, but an important one: here nobody gives anything away, the last matches will be a battle, starting with Sunday's - again at PalaDozza - against Nardò"

Fortitudo still obviously without Gherardo Sabatini and Luca Vencato while Nardò will have to give up Avery Woodson instead from that of the Apulians for a match that will see Marco Giuri return to the PalaDozza as an opponent, just as another former is the sporting director of Nardò, Matteo Malaventura.

He now sits on the bench of the Apulians Matteo Mecacci, former Cento who during the season took the place of another ex Fortitudo player, Luca Dalmonte.

This afternoon they will meet again two completely different teams facing each other compared to those that last October 20th, challenged each other in Lecce and that saw the victory of Nardò di Dalmonte by 82-77 over Fortitudo directed by DeviS Cagnardi.

Referees - Today's race was directed by the trio Berlangieri, Coraggio, Roiaz. Radio & TV - Live streaming on LNP Pass, radio broadcast on Radio Sanluchino and audio commentary on Canale 88. Delayed tomorrow at 21pm, again on Canale 88.
