It is already the eve of a new championship challenge for the Fortitude which will be on stage tomorrow at 18pm at PalaDozza to face Vigevano. After the 6 out of 6 of this start of 2025, the coaching lineup Attilio Caja challenges Elachem, in what for the coach from Pavia is a real derby.
"We are going through a positive moment – confirms Alessandro Panni, interviewed by Canale 88 – the result of the work I do every day in training. Since Caja arrived, the coach has put us under pressure with work, but this has not had a negative impact on our results, on the contrary, a lot of work in the gym but then the results arrived". The white and blue winger talks about Wednesday night's match with Cantù.
"We didn't start off the right way, during the break we talked and sorted out the rebound issue, while the aggressiveness in defense was always the same, so we turned the match around. I must say that with the push from PalaDozza we couldn't have finished differently, the crowd helped us close the gap, I'm convinced that many will struggle against us in front of our fans".
Tomorrow there is Vigevano, a match to win. "This is the second consecutive internal challenge, we must and absolutely want to win and continue our climb. But be careful because in this A2 every round presents pitfalls. Surprises on all fields are the order of the day and experience teaches that in the second half of the season you can't underestimate anyone, because everyone, who for one reason of the ranking, who for another, still has something to ask of their season".
Then Panni talks about his experience in Bologna: "I'm in my third year at Fortitudo, I feel great here with the city, the team, the fans, I feel at home. How am I off the pitch? I'm a normal guy, in my free time I like to spend time with friends and my girlfriend, I prepare for training, I try to experience the city".
On the organizational front, Caja must give up Gabriel and Sabatini, but has the other 11 seniors available in the squad, having to leave one in the stands.
A run-off is likely between Leonardo Battistini and Leo Menalo, while for all the others it seems obvious that they will take the field with Vigevano.
Vigevano arrives at tomorrow's match in emergency conditions without Andrew Smith who was injured in the match with Udine, Tommaso Raspino and Kristofers Strautmanis, but charged and eager to do well in a particularly heartfelt match after the sparks of the first leg.
Closing with the PalaDozza that returns to the fore: the Coppa Italia of A2 and series B will be played in the historic facility of Piazza Azzarita on the weekend of 15-16 March.
