The ratings end 99-64, which says much more than the +9 with which Effe forced the series to game four and after a defensive change of pace that marked the before and after: which in the end is the only key to trying to bring Cantù to the 'play-in'.

"The boys played an amazing third quarter – says coach Attilio Caja –, congratulations to them: there was unison between them and the crowd. The boys reacted very well and we held them to 9 points. Then Gabriel lit up, topping off the performance with 10 rebounds, and there was an important game by Fantinelli, who played with great determination: they were good at capitalizing on the team's great defensive work. The bench did well, giving the others a breather".

The choreography in tireless support of a team down 0-2 in the series and in need of additional motivation: a badge and an extra weapon.

"Our fans are always the best on the field, just look at the initial choreography. Then Cantù remains a top-level team. In the first half we were soft and they took advantage of it. Tomorrow we have to start again from the defense of the second half. If we don't do it, they will highlight their qualities".

A heartfelt success in view of Saturday. "The spark must come from the defense and the progress of the match shows it. We have well distributed points, a sign that everyone has contributed: we must be like this, if you have aggression at the back you pick up the pace up front. And then with this crowd you always have support even when you are tired: it is a commendable building".

The words of president Stefano Tedeschi, who spoke to the microphones of Vitamina Effe on Radio Nettuno Bologna Uno before the match, must have hit the mark.

"I am not satisfied with this season. Last year we had Ogden, who was replaced with a prestigious player, but no results came. Then 8 injured players never happen and this year it was our turn. We made efforts to replace and the expected results did not come out: our public does not deserve it".

Et voilà: 2-1 and the series reopened.

Tomorrow evening we return to the PalaDozza.
