First of all, a signal was essential after a long period of defeats (four in a row, too many for the EF). Either because of the negative streak that has significantly affected the projects and the final rush of the Fortitudo championship, or to save what can be saved in a condition of infirmary that is greatly debilitating for the coach. Attilio Caja and partners: captain absent again yesterday Matthew Fantinelli, replaced by the Vencato-Panni axis.

And so the eighth final place arrives, which certainly does not mean being able to gloat for long about the home field advantage in our favor in the second round of play in (we are waiting for the response of the match between Torino and Pesaro), but which in the end, given how things were going, is the best predictable situation, especially for a club that makes its fans the extra man: in case of victory they would then face Cantu to the playoffs. But one step at a time.

"Congratulations to the boys for the victory - says the coach from Pavia after the match in Livorno -, it was a match where the defense gave us a lot. First in terms of approach, putting the match on our tracks, then when Livorno had some flashes we stayed there with our heads and away from home that is an important aspect". Words on which it is essential that Effe focuses in view of the next match and with a very cautious eye on the possible series against Cantù.

"In attack – concludes the white and blue coach – we have found an important weapon, in addition to yet another good performance by Aradoriin Gabriel. But all the outside players did something important, defending very well against players like Banks, Filloy and Hooker."

Now Aquila must find another victory before being able to access the coveted playoffs and dream of promotion to A league.
