The news is not the defeat suffered but the fact that for Pistoia it was about thelast game in the top division and now who knows what the future holds. Regarding the match, it must be said that it was the classic end-of-season match between a team already projected towards the play-offs and one already relegated to A2 and therefore a match without great emotions and with very little to say. Giving a judgment is difficult if not impossible since it was played only because the calendar required it.

"I congratulate Reggio Emilia and wish the best of luck for the playoffs – says coach Gasper Okorn, most likely at his last conference as a 'Pistoia native' – We played well for 30 minutes, the first 5 minutes of the last quarter were fatal, where we made some mistakes that made us lose ground. Congratulations to the boys because they showed the right face on such a difficult field and I am still proud of them". Okorn wants to dedicate a final thought to the red and white fans who have followed the team throughout the year, cheered them on, helped them and supported them both at home and away, so much so that even in Reggio Emilia, despite the match having no value, over 200 Pistoia fans were present.

"We tried to thank our fans in the best possible way – says the red and white coach – they are incredible, they have followed and supported us all year, many of them came to Reggio despite the relegation that had already happened and I am even more sorry given this incredible atmosphere that there is here in Pistoia that it happened to us to be relegated".
