Bologna, 7 February 2025 – Second home defeat in forty-eight hours for the Virtus Segafredo which also raises the white flag against the Paris Basketball which won 77-83 at the end of a match that seemed lost and which, on the contrary, smiled on Ward and teammates thanks to the 13-0 partial in the fourth quarter that knocked out the Black V's. Featured Nadir Hifi who scores 23 points while on the other side the 17 of Shengelia will not be enough to avoid the seventeenth defeat of the season in Euroleague.

In the final period, the guests' partial score of 13-0 was decisive

Collin Malcom breaks the ice with five consecutive points as soon as the initial tip-off is raised (0-5 after two turns of the clock). The inertia continues to be the prerogative of the French team which runs away to 9-2 with Jantunen which sets off the first alarm bells for the team Ivanovic who still has to give up Zizic e Clyburn and fielded the same players who took to the field on Wednesday evening. The black and white reaction materialized with a 7-0 break that led to temporary parity thanks to Polonara. It will then be Cordier a few moments later to give his team their first lead (13-12 in the 7th minute).

Thus the inertia changes with Shengelia, who pushes his team up to +8 (25-17) with the Georgian thus reaching double figures a few seconds before the first siren. Virtus try to manage the advantage built previously, the result of an excellent comeback. Tj Shorts makes his opponents feel the heat by scoring two baskets in a row that allow him to keep the game open (27-24 at 13'). After a few moments of empty passage on the offensive level, the moment arrives to FRAME Belinelli with the first conclusion of the evening that allows to keep the Parisians at a distance. A 6-0 break will follow interspersed with the plays of Hifi e Ouattara to which they will reply Graziulis, Belinelli e Justin Holiday with the first bomb of his Bologna experience combined with that of the Virtus captain who gave Segafredo the +11 (46-35) at half time.

Upon returning from the locker rooms, the inertia does not change. The Felsinei widen the gap, reaching fourteen points with the sixteenth point scored by Shengelia at 23' (55-41). Paris does not sit back and watch but shows resilience by managing to reopen the match with a 9-0 partial. The game becomes a tug-of-war at this stage with Sy which reduces the gap to just two possessions before the reply entrusted to Rayjon Tucker. Jantunen at the sound of the third siren keeps the games open. Coach's men Tiago Splitter, finally, they will take the stage by putting three bombs inside the 13-0 that allows them to take the stage and send Bologna's defense into a tailspin. The latter tries to stay on track with Cordier but it won't be enough. The credits will roll Hifi with free throws for 77-83.
