There are no representatives of the minority shareholder, who has already subscribed to the capital increase. Three-member board of directors, Comellini is the new CEO. Gherardi: "We are moving forward"

A new board, limited to just three members and without representatives of the minority shareholder, Carlo Gherardi, with 45 percent. The shareholders' meeting of the Virtus Basketball Bologna Spa, held yesterday, appointed Massimo Zanetti president, Marco Comellini e Joseph Sermasi board members, then proceeding to appoint Comellini himself as the new CEO and Sermasi as the managing director.

The reduction in the number of board members led to the departure of Nicola Gualandi, one of the three who resigned together with Zanetti and Sermasi themselves, who had led to the dissolution of the previous board of directors and the new shareholders' meeting, but also to that of Marco Preti, present in the previous one as a representative of Cribis.

Its Cribis, following the shareholders' meeting and the communication from Virtus on the new board of directors, confirmed its financial support to Virtus by signing the second tranche of the capital increase resolved in December of 3 million and 350 thousand euros, also specifying that it will proceed with the subscription of the third tranche of the capital increase expected in the coming weeks.

Cribis also specified that he did not deem it necessary to appoint a board member, counting on the management of the board members designated by the majority shareholder at the meeting.

For the moment, therefore, the members continue with unity of purpose, at least until the end of the season, when the corporate situation could change.
