Belgrade (Serbia), 26 March 2026 - Ninth consecutive defeat in Euroleague and the fifth in a row between Europe and the championship for Virtus. The team of Dusko Ivanovic also falls heavily 88-52 in Belgrade at the home of the Red Star of the former Milos Teodosic. Terrible start, attitude to forget and performance that to call negative seems too reductive for a Virtus, never entered the game. It starts with the Black V without bite and with the Red Star that immediately makes things clear: 11-1 and the game is practically over before it even starts. The rest is a long ordeal, underlined by the very dark faces of the players in the black and white jerseys. There are no Grazulis and Tucker, left at home and destined elsewhere, but the team, moreover without God, shows absolutely no signs of reaction. Poor shooting (2 of 22 from long distance), dominated on the rebound (42-30), an attitude to forget from the challenge with Belgrade there is really little, or rather nothing, to save for a Virtus in a crisis that is more mental than physical. A one-sided challenge from start to finish, with a glimmer of light seen in the last quarter after over 30 minutes of pitch darkness, with a mini-break of 2-8. for the Black Vs. Too much, too little, also because after the mini blaze at the beginning of the last partial, the rest of the minutes are a real ordeal. But there is no time to recover energy, on Friday the challenge in Berlin against Alba is already scheduled.
