Ancona Calcio: salaries paid, but corporate uncertainty persists

March salaries paid to players yesterday: some peace returns to Ancona, with a club that remains in total uncertainty. The match lost against Castelfidardo brought only anger and bitterness to the few people present in the stands, and has maintained a lot of confusion in the management of the company. The season can now be considered largely over, after the resounding defeat suffered against Castelfidardo at home, the team will go to Avezzano trying to leave the field with their heads held high. If they really want to try to reach the playoffs, they will first have to win against Avezzano and then look at the result in Fossombrone. A feat possible, but the team seen on the field against Castelfidardo seems to demonstrate that the season is over, that the corporate disputes and the war of all against all have ended up taking away those certainties that it had managed to build over the course of its journey. A U-turn in Avezzano would now be a miracle, the feeling is that everyone is packing their bags, as the technical staff has already done, to leave Ancona. In the meantime, however, there is the positive aspect, as due, of the payment of salaries: after the 60 thousand paid by the majority shareholder Stefano Marconi, the 60 thousand of the shareholder Massimiliano Polci also arrived in the company coffers, 120 thousand euros in total that allowed to face not only the salaries of the team and staff but also some payment injunctions relating to the powers of attorney of various players, and other debt situations that concern the training fields. The company is trying to meet its commitments, in short, and in the meantime it is looking ahead in all possible directions. Even though the news that the Roman entrepreneur in the film industry Alessandro Di Paolo, the ace in the hole of Polci & C., is about to take over Rieti, and therefore not Ancona, leaves one perplexed about this path that until a few days ago seemed the most concrete one to follow. The time that has passed, the hesitations, the difficulties of the company in taking a direction have probably led him to make other evaluations. But the road would not be completely closed, Di Paolo himself would have been in touch on Sunday, after the match with Castelfidardo, with Polci & C. His intervention in Ancona, therefore, could still be taken into consideration, perhaps in collaboration with other entrepreneurs. And Massimiliano Polci, who would be willing to continue his journey within the club, perhaps dealing only with the youth sector, could keep alive other avenues that could lead to the entry of Netoip into the club, but also to that of the former owner Andrea Marinelli as a sponsor. And then there are the roads explored by Mayor Daniele Silvetti last week in Rome, which would lead in the direction of a group of entrepreneurs more interested in Ancona's sports facilities, including the area that a year ago interested Tony Tiong's Ancona, rather than Ancona itself.
