Ancona faces Fossombrone in the penultimate derby to maintain fifth place in the standings and access the playoffs.

Three games to go in the regular season, the penultimate derby of this championship: Ancona takes to the field today at 17 pm in Fossombrone to defend fifth place in the standings – which is worth access to the playoffs – from the Metaurensi who are chasing at one point and who are coming off the defeat in Avezzano. The Dorics instead have filled up on points and self-esteem in the last two games which coincided with two victories, the first in Riano against Roma City and the second on Sunday at home against Notaresco. With safety in their pocket and strong in fifth place, they can now try to hit a new seasonal goal that could bring satisfaction to the team itself, as well as to the fans and the city. The wind that has been blowing on the fire of controversy in recent days certainly doesn't help the team to find maximum concentration in view of this pre-Easter appointment, but so far the Dorics have always found a way to leave corporate controversies off the field to think only about playing. Gadda once again trusts the young goalkeeper Bellucci, the three-man defense is untouchable, Pecci returns to midfield but Gulinatti is out due to an ankle injury suffered during the match against Notaresco. The coach should trust Gianelli, who performed well last Sunday, but it is not excluded that he will leave the control room to Alluci and choose Sare in Gianelli's place, who also stood out in the last match. Up front, the pairing of Martiniello and Varriale should be confirmed.
