Atalanta, captain Rafael Toloi on the verge of a starting shirt on Sunday night at the Meazza against Milan
Without Kolasinac and Posch, the 35-year-old from Matogrosso is Gasperini's first defensive option

Rafael Toloi, born in 1990, in black and blue since 2015
Bergamo – Make way for veterans. Against Milan, in Sunday evening postponement at the Meazza, Gasperini, no longer having the gladiator Kolasinaout for the next six months after tearing his cruciate ligament, should relaunch Captain Rafael Toloi will start the match, to make a defensive department with Djimsiti and Hien. The Matogrossiano, naturalized Azzurri since 2020 because of his grandfather from Treviso, should play from the first minute as a right-hand man at San Siro. Odilon Kossounou is returning, already called up last Sunday but remained on the bench, who is raring to go after a three-month stoppage due to a tendon injury, but the Ivorian will hardly be able to start from the first minute. And with Austrian Posch still stuck in the pits due to muscular problems the most likely solution is a starting shirt for the captain.
Born in 1990, Toloi has only played 385 minutes in the league this season, slowed down by various muscular problems, playing only two games as a starter, in November in Parma and in February at home against Torino. For the veteran, in black and blue since summer 2015 (curiously he made his debut for Atalanta in August 2015, again at the Meazza, but against Inter) it will be an important opportunity to show off, in 'Football ladder', also with a view to a possible contract extension for another season in Bergamo. On the threshold of 35 years, after 11 seasons in our Serie A (the first in 2014 at Roma), Toloi, 311 games in the Atalanta shirt with 14 goals, could choose to return to Brazil in the summer to end his career: he will decide in June, but these six games in which he could have more space will help him and the Goddess to have clearer ideas in view of next season.
