The Champions League dream is within reach again, the Coppa Italia dream too. And if in the first case it is only (so to speak) a matter of earning the right to participate once again, in the second case there is the concrete possibility of raising to the sky a trophy that has been missing from the Casteldebole trophy cabinet for 51 years.

The power of a goal, the cinematic one scored on Sunday evening in the 94th minute by Ursu, who sent theInter and which in turn has delivered an entire city to heaven, transforming the last month of the rossoblù season into a container, with a high adrenaline rate, of dreams to be realized.

Sprint for the Champions League and the hunt for the Coppa Italia: the story in seven matches
Dutchman Thijs Dallinga and Danish player Jens Odgaard celebrate at the end of the match in front of the Bulgarelli curve: Bologna has just beaten Inter 1-0 (Schicchi)

Five league matches, starting with the trip to Udine on Monday night and ending on May 25th at the Dall'Ara against Genoa, plus two practically certain Coppa Italia matches: the return semi-final against Empoli, scheduled for Thursday night at the Dall'Ara, and the very probable final on May 14th at the Olimpico, a finish line that this season Bologna it could fail only in the event of a sensational, and unlikely, harakiri against the Tuscans.

It won't happen, because it's unthinkable that a machine that with the Nerazzurri has shown itself to be almost perfect could jam at the most beautiful moment. From one Nerazzurri player to another in seven days at Casteldebole the prospects have changed. If the slip-up in Bergamo could fuel a vague suspicion of a group weighed down by the physical and psychological fatigue of a season conducted at a frenetic pace, the ninety minutes with Inter swept away all doubts (few, to be honest) demonstrating that the group is in splendid health from all points of view and that Champions League qualification is still within reach.

On Sunday night, Atalanta shored up their third-place finish by winning at home to a Milan side that has only the Coppa Italia left to nurture their hopes of Europe.

Bologna, on the other hand, demolishing Inter, has once again climbed to fourth place, condemning Juventus to the role of pursuer, two points behind, who will be playing tomorrow at the Tardini, in the recovery of the match with Parma, postponed yesterday due to the death of Pope Francis. If the Bianconeri win, they would seal the counter-overtaking, but at that point Bologna could give concreteness to the Champions dream by beating Tudor's team in the direct clash on May 4 at the Dall'Ara. A year ago, 68 points were enough for Motta to grab the Champions League: but that Bologna qualified in fifth place, an opportunity that will not be there this year.

Between Udinese, Juventus, Milan, Fiorentina and Genoa, we need to get between 9 and 10 points, a goal that this 'no limits' Bologna is not at all out of reach. What else did the magical night with Inter leave us?

The whining of Inzaghi, who latched onto a throw-in taken by Miranda 6-7 meters ahead (but in midfield) to justify the KO. The state of grace of Holm, Lucumi, Freuler, Ndoye and Cambiaghi, worthy supporting actors of Orsolini in the night of the rossoblù Oscars. It is a month to be enjoyed, no longer to be savored. Because Motta is more than ever the past and the spotlight today is entirely deserved by Italiano.
