Viola Crossovers: Mandragora in Italiano's Plans
Icelandic Gudmundsson also offered

Ronaldo Mandragora, 27-year-old Fiorentina midfielder (Germogli)
While waiting for the match against Napoli on Monday, Bologna is also working on the midfield. A loan renewal with the right to buy for 6-7 million was proposed for Pobega, but Milan is not having it and is asking for 7-8 million straight away to close the game. Sartori has thus turned to Spezia and Salvatore Esposito (24), who, despite being a protagonist in Serie B last season (7 goals and 9 assists), has already made his debut for the national team. Bologna is ready to put 5 million on the table, but it is not enough, because Spezia is waiting and hoping for an offer from Fenerbahce for 8 million: Sartori, however, is ready to use Pyyhtia, also requested by Palermo, and Raimondo, returning from loans from Sudtirol and Salernitana, but the Ligurian club, at least for the moment, is inclined to listen to offers that only include money and no compensation, as is Bologna for Ndoye, Beukema and Lucumi.
Esposito is liked, but there have been inquiries for Rolando Mandragora (27), whose contract with Fiorentina expires in 2026 and who is already coached by Italiano in Florence. Furthermore, there are plenty of links between Bologna and Florence: the Viola stole the Dzeko idea from the Rossoblu and are trying to do the same for Calabria, whose contract expires.
Gudmundsson is a player leaving Viola, who are not expected to redeem him for 15 million from Genoa and he has been proposed to Bologna. But in November there will be the trial of the Icelander for the accusations of sexual violence for an event that dates back to 2023: also for this reason Bologna to date prefers to think of Van Bommel and Wimmer (24) for the role of attacking winger, while for the three-quarters Suslov (22) remains the name at the top of Vincenzo Italiano's wish list, with Verona ready to negotiate him for a figure around 15 million euros between fixed parts and bonuses.
But we will have to wait until the end of the Under-21 European Championship and about ten days to understand whether Inter will buy Fabbian for 12 million or whether Bologna will be able to negotiate him for around 15 million with Lazio. No news has come from Milan about the intention to buy Fabbian back. However, there is news regarding the intention not to negotiate Pio Esposito, while Salvatore could be headed to Parma as a counterpart for Bonny. Piccoli, meanwhile, has been bought by Cagliari. Bologna remains in search of a third striker and Pinamonti (26) remains a hot name, after Sassuolo's openness to a loan with a buyout option and the player's willingness to reduce his salary, compared to the current two million, spreading the salary after having extended. Discussions are underway, by virtue of the need to lengthen the list of Italians in the squad and given the uncertainty over the reconfirmations of Pobega and Calabria.
