Vincenzo Italiano and Massimiliano Farris sent off during Bologna-Inter. The coach is likely to be suspended.
When Sunday night Vincenzo Italiano (in the Ansa photo), with his expulsion still fresh, he reached the Dall'Ara stands between two exultant wings of the rossoblù crowd, he still did not know that Orsolini's goal at the photo finish, admired from a pigeon box, would give him his second victory with Inter since he has been sitting on the bench on the very day of his first red card in his career as a coach. Expulsion for him and for Inzaghi's assistant, Massimiliano Farris, a measure that everyone thought was excessive due to the argument between the two that took place in the 55th minute.
Cause of the dispute: Farris had complained to the fourth official about the alleged Rossoblu protests at every foul committed by the Nerazzurri, thus triggering the reaction of Italiano who went head-to-head with the Inter coach's assistant.
The consequence of the 'incident' that Colombo could have settled with a simple double warning is that the sports judge will almost certainly disqualify the coach for one match. Bologna, who will not be able to sit on the bench on Monday night in Udine. Also in Friuli there will be room for Daniel Niccolini, a 42-year-old Florentine, the trusty assistant who has known Italiano since his time at Vigontina San Paolo, the club that Italiano coached in 2016-17.
