Brescia returns from the direct challenge at the home of bottom club Cosenza with a draw that serves little purpose. To make the atmosphere in the white and blue home even sadder are several episodes that ended up erasing what until a few seconds before the final whistle seemed to be a fundamental victory for the pursuit of salvation of Maran's team. Instead, in the third of the 4' of added time in the second half, the visiting defense fails to manage a ball that, after a back and forth, ends up with Zilli, ready to throw the final 1-1 behind Lezzerini.
Another goal conceded in the final moments of the match. But mister Maran is furious with the referee (and the VAR) for an ignored arm touch in the Calabrian area with the score at 0-0: "We are missing a penalty, an episode that affected the match. It was a blow, this team deserves more respect". Cistana's expulsion in the 38th minute of the first half for a naive foul also had an impact. Thus ends, in the most bitter way for Maran's team, whose position is dangerously at risk again, a match that seemed to have taken the right direction, also with the help of good luck in the form of Florenzi's own goal, who in the 26th minute anticipates Borrelli in the area, but sends the ball where Micai cannot reach. Cosenza bets all its cards on the second half, but, despite the numerical superiority, is unable to go beyond Mazzocchi's shot that caresses the crossbar in the 16th minute. It seemed done for Brescia, but in the 3rd minute of injury time a new joke arrived that made the Easter Monday match of truth with Reggiana even more delicate.
