Madrid (Spain), 5 November 2024 – Hangover night for the Milan and this evening at 21pm (live on Sky Sport) will go to Santiago Bernabeu to visit Real Madrid of the unforgettable former Rossoneri player Carlo Ancelotti to seek a roar of pride that can give a definitive boost to a start to the season that has been full of ups and downs so far and in which the Rossoneri have not yet found a precise playing identity: "These matches are faced with great motivation - explained the Rossoneri coach Paulo Fonseca –. It is a great opportunity to show our value by playing against the main favorite to win this Champions League and against the best players without fear of anything, with courage, because we are convinced that we can play a great game. Sign for a draw? I always try to convey to my team a great desire to win. I only aim for success. Then, if it happens, it also depends on how it happens and how we play. It can be positive or negative”. The news is the return of Leao, after three games started from the bench: “He will play from the 1st minute. We expect him to be decisive”. On the other side, Carlo Ancelotti's Reali, who are experiencing an extremely delicate moment, in which heavy defeats in the league against Barcelona and in the Champions League against Lille have also arrived on the pitch. However, the "Blancos" have above all had to deal with the terrible flood that this week hit some areas of Spain near Valencia, to which Ancelotti dedicated a thought: "It has been a tragic week. We are all very sad and close to Valencia and the cities affected. Talking about football or playing, in situations like this, is always very difficult. The match against Milan is special for me but it is not easy to prepare for it because my mind is elsewhere. We are professionals and we will try to win but it was all terrible".

Ancelotti and Fonseca's choices

Real Madrid coach won't give up on 4-3-3 deploying an iron defense formed by Lucas Vazquez, Militao, Rudiger and Mendy in front of the goalkeeper Lunin. Valverde and Bellingham will instead be the mezz'ali on the sides of Tchouameni. Finally, up front, Rodrygo is favored over Camavinga to compose a lethal trident with Mbappé - who in all honesty has not yet managed to show all his qualities in the "Merengue" jersey - and Vinicius. Fonseca's answer is contained in the tried and tested 4-2-3-1 of the Rossoneri. Between the posts, obviously, Maignan, while on the right lane the favorite for a starting spot is Emerson Royal. Alongside the Brazilian ex Tottenham, the central defenders Thiaw and Tomori and Theo Hernandez, positioned on the left wing. There will be no news in midfield either, where there will be the tried and tested Reijnders-Fofana tandem, while the biggest surprises will be Leao on the left and Musah – to ensure more coverage in the non-possession phase. In the center of the trio, the immovable Pulisic and up front the striker Morata.
