Empoli, 1 April 2025 - The Bologna mortgages qualification for the Coppa Italia final. The Felsinei dominate the first leg of the semi-final, winning at the Castellani stadium in Empoli with a clear 0-3. The one who broke the deadlock was Ursu, while the other rossoblù goals (one in each half) are signed by DallingaThe return match is scheduled for Thursday, April 24.
The choices of the two coaches
Empoli (3-4-2-1): Saws; De Sciglio, Marianucci, Tosto; Gyasi, Kovlenko, Bacci, Cacace; Solbakken, Fazzini; Colombo. Coach D'Aversa. Bologna (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Calabria, Beukema, Lucumi, Miranda; Freuler, Ferguson; Orsolini, Odgaard, Ndoye; Dallinga. All. Italian.
First half
It only takes a minute and a half to see the first chance of the match. And what a chance: Dallinga sets up Orsolini who beats Tosto, but his right-footed shot from a very inviting position doesn't hit the target. In this case, we can safely call it a missed goal by the rossoblù number 7. It's the Felsinei who are making the game and in the 22nd minute, after a header off target by Dallinga, Ursu redeems himself: Odgaard's cross arrives at the feet of the class of '97 who this time doesn't miss with his beloved left foot. Just seven minutes pass and the Emilians double with Dallinga who, served by Ndoye, leaves Seghetti no chance with a delicate touch from the outside. Empoli's reaction comes in the 39th minute, when Fazzini's header allows Solbakkanen to run in, whose shot is deflected by Skorupski into a corner (even though the refereeing trio doesn't notice the touch). It's the last thrill of the first half, which ends 0-2.
Second half
Double substitution at the start of the second half for D'Aversa, who sends Pezzella and Sambia onto the pitch. But the music doesn't change: in the 51st minute Odgaard sees Ndyoe's run who unleashes a perfect low shot for Dallinga, author of the 0-3. At 60' the Tuscans could have regained courage and confidence, but Gyasi fails to hit the target on a serve from Colombo. The hosts also play the cards Goglichidze and Esposito, but it is Bologna who comes close to making it four with Orsolini, who tests Seghetti. Italiano also makes the first substitutions, relying on Holm (in place of the injured Calabria), Cambiaghi and Fabbian. Seghetti is once again urged on, first by Miranda and immediately after by Dallinga. It is then Ferguson and Holm who worry the Tuscans with two shots that do not hit the target. Right at 90' the Bolognese team also hits the post with Cambiaghi. No big deal for the Emilians, who celebrate a victory that brings them significantly closer to the final in Rome.
