The challenge between Udinese ed Empoli It will be a special meeting for some of the Italian players, in particular for Marco Silvestri e Joseph Pezzella, who have worn the black and white shirt in the past. Marco Silvestri defended the goal of Udinese from 2021 until last summer, making 94 appearances for the Bianconeri before moving to Empoli. Giuseppe Pezzella, on the other hand, had two spells in Udine: the first between the summer of 2017 and January 2018, and a brief return in the summer of 2019. In total, the full-back made 24 appearances for the Bianconeri, before continuing his career elsewhere.

Despite never having worn the Udinese shirt, both Emanuel Gyasi and Lawrence Colombo have already found the way to goal against the Bianconeri. Gyasi scored in the 2021-22 season when he played for Spezia, while Colombo left his mark the following season, scoring a goal against Lecce in a match that ended 1-1. Now, with Empoli, these players will have a chance to write another chapter against the Friulians, between memories, former teammates and the desire to make an impact in a delicate challenge.
