Bologna, 24 April 2025 – TheEmpoli exits the Italian Cup with its head held high, narrowly losing (2-1) at the “Renato Dall'Ara” against Bologna. For President Corsi's team, the tournament adventure ends in the semi-final: it will be the Bologna to challenge Milan at the Olimpico on May 14th.

In the 13th minute, a powerful right-footer from Fabbian, but Seghetti is ready. In the 24th minute, Dominguez is hypnotized by Hacksaws at the moment of conclusion. In the 40th minute, Moro's shot from the edge of the area was deflected into a corner by a defender. Not even sixty seconds later, the winning goal for the Felsinei: a cross from the left by Lykogiannis, Dallinga with his header he finds the corner to the right of Seghetti.
