Excluding the trip to Monza, theEmpoli has all the direct clashes for salvation at home, starting next Sunday with Cagliari. The Castellani, however, it was anything but a fortress. In front of their own fans, the Azzurri collected just 8 points with the worst home attack in Europe, only 5 goals scored. A performance that will necessarily have to be reversed in this final part of the season.

Looking ahead to the upcoming match against the rossoblù, despite riding high on the enthusiasm of the 3-0 home win over Monza, Nicola's team has struggled tremendously away so far. Away from the Domus Arena, in fact, the Sardinians have only managed two victories, the last one in January, by 2-1, again against Monza.

One aspect in which the two teams have similar numbers are the goals of their main scorers with the blue Esposito the top scorer of D'Aversa's team with 8 goals, while the former Piccoli is the top scorer of Cagliari with 7 goals. The difference instead comes from the number of players sent to score with the blues who can count on only 8 guns, while at Cagliari there are 12 different players with at least one goal to their name.

At Empoli, then, we will have to pay a lot of attention to the last half hour of the game where the Azzurri are the team that has conceded the most goals (27) and the one that has scored the fewest (4) in Serie A.
