Europa League on TV: Complete guide to the first round of the playoffs. Matches, times and where to watch them
Roma will be playing at 21pm against Porto at the Estadio do Dragao: Ranieri and his men are looking for a coup

Claudio Ranieri
Rome, 12 February 2025 – After only two weeks, the the Europa League, with the first round of the playoff phase. Tomorrow 16 teams will be involved: at 18:45 the Union SG – Ajax, Midtjylland – Real Sociedad, Ferencvaros – Viktoria Plzen e Fenerbahçe – Anderlecht, while at 21 pm it will be the turn of Paok – FCSB, AZ – Galatasaray, Twente - Bodø/Glimt e Porto - Rome. The Giallorossi, therefore, will try to make a big splash at the Estadio do Dragao against a team that is anything but banal, and which could be a real wild card in the competition.
Roma to start off on the right foot
After finishing the championship phase with a good 2-0 victory againstEintracht Frankfurt in front of the home crowd and having finished in fifteenth place in the maxi-scoreboard, Ranieri and his team absolutely do not want to abandon the competition already in the playoff phase, and will try to direct the double confrontation towards them starting from tomorrow's challenge, which will be played away from Italy. The first act of the playoff phase, in fact, will take place in Portugal, with the team of Anselmi who will try to make the most of the home advantage to lighten the return match, which will take place next Thursday at the Stadio Olimpico. After a difficult start, the Portuguese managed to qualify for the playoffs, collecting two wins in the last three games and finishing in eighteenth place, with one point less than Roma. In the league, Anselmi and his team are in third place in the standings with 43 points, level on points with Braga and with four lengths less than the Benfica in second place. They are coming off a 1-1 draw with the Sporting Lisbon league leaders, the third draw in a row. The Giallorossi, on the other hand, come from the 1-0 victory against Venice and from the home draw against Napoli league leaders: since Ranieri's arrival, the Giallorossi have definitely improved in performance, and tomorrow will be a very important match for the rest of Roma's season.
