Panini Stickers, Historic First All-Female Album: 'Calciatrici 2024-2025'

Rome, February 6 – A historic day for figurine enthusiasts. The presentation of the the first collection entirely dedicated to women's football, produced by Panini with the name of “Calciatrici 2024-25”.

Until last year's edition, the stickers dedicated to the women's Serie A teams were combined with those of men's football, as already happened in 2022-23; starting from this season, however, the turning point with the choice to prepare the two separate collections. The presentation press conference was held this morning at the Aleph Rome Hotel in the capital, in the presence of the president of the FIGC Gabriele Gravina, just re-elected for the three-year period 2025-28, of the president of the Professional Women's Serie A Division Federica Cappelletti and the director of the Panini Italia Market Alex Bertani.

The new collection marks another big step towards greater visibility for women's football, which has already been steadily growing in recent years, as underlined by Gravina himself: "It's a beautiful day for the entire Italian football movement - began the federal president -. I thank the Division with President Cappelletti and Panini for believing in this project. Recognisability is a key element for the growth and expansion of any sector, especially when aiming for new reference models". Satisfaction was also expressed by Cappelletti: "After 64 editions of the men's album, finally having the album dedicated to female footballers is a great emotion - declared the wife of the unforgettable legend Paolo Rossi -. This is the demonstration of how women's football is growing a lot and is becoming increasingly important. This collection marks an epochal turning point, we are entering history and this fills us with pride: I believed in it from the very beginning and I am happy to have reached this goal thanks to Panini and thanks to the staff of the Women's Serie A Division".

The new dedicated edition will be composed of 322 stickers distributed in 48 pages, with the cover featuring a representative for each club participating in the Serie A championship, as already happens in the collection dedicated to men's football. As for the album dedicated to Panini Calciatori 2024-2025, this one is also in paperback version, that is, with the spine bound. Inside the album, there are also pages dedicated to Serie B and the National team, which will play the final phase of the European Championship in Switzerland next July.

Also present at the official presentation of the album this morning was Gigi Buffon: “I am a great collector of stickers, I started buying the ones from 1963 up until today.. I bought them later obviously… - the 2006 world champion jokingly commented -. I was proud when the Panini photographer came, and finding yourself on a page of these which are historical documents in football has always been a great emotion that obviously makes you ask yourself if you were up to the situation and, honestly, in the end I think I deserved it - added Buffon -. For the girls it is an epochal day and an incredible achievement, they must be proud. A well-deserved recognition also for us at the Federation because seeing how everyone is rowing in the same direction, represents something that fills us with pride as we are all part of the same family”.
