It is the day of the meeting in Rome between Massimiliano Polci, Andrea Manciola e Alessandro Di Paolo. What could decide the future of theAncona. The interest of the entrepreneur who until last January owned Ostiamare with his family is concrete, over the months the discussions with the Doric side led by the partner Polci have been various and the forty-five year old Roman has repeatedly declared to his interlocutors that he is ready to take over Ancona from the partner who controls it, namely Stefano Marconi.

Who would now be ready to step aside. But who would like to have reassurances regarding the 300 thousand euros that remain to be paid between now and the end of the season to close it in balance. Leaving aside the why and how it was possible, during the season just ended, that the club exceeded the budget by 33% - arriving at spending, including the 400 thousand euros in non-repayable grants for the supernumerary registration, about 2 million euros - the fact remains that of this amount there are still about 300 thousand euros to be paid, between the last two months to be paid to the team, staff and technicians of all sectors, and other items, powers of attorney not yet paid and various invoices. A large sum that Stefano Marconi, by leaving, would like to avoid paying. Who will think about it? The club has declared that it would meet all the economic commitments of the season, to close it in balance. But if Marconi were to leave, as he seems intent on doing, he certainly won't pay his half, as he did at the end of April, 60 thousand euros for him and the same amount for Polci. Polci and Manciola will also discuss this with Di Paolo today. There are many questions, but they can essentially be summed up in two points: first, is Di Paolo still intent on investing in Ancona by taking over the majority share? If so, here's the second point: is he willing to immediately pay into the Ancona coffers the remainder of the season, him alone or together with Polci? The builder from Belforte del Chienti and his right-hand man will have to return from Rome with certainties, those to put on the table of the board of directors scheduled for next Friday. On that occasion, in fact, they will have to explain to Marconi, Recchi and Egidi and the other "majority" councilors the intentions of the Roman entrepreneur. But Di Paolo could also take a step back: Ancona's balance sheet, the ongoing protests by the fans, some comments that appeared on social media regarding his possible entry, which he himself would not have liked, everything could weigh on his decision. So if Polci and Manciola returned from Rome with nothing done, then the question would officially open red and white crisis. At that point, the members would have no choice but to go up to the Palace and invoke the help of the mayor Daniele Silvetti who would have his card ready to play.

The card would be that of a business group interested in investing in Ancona and perhaps also in Ancona, a project in which a guarantor figure such as Vincenzo Guerini could also be included, but which will hardly be able to contemplate the rest of the staff. Also because the weeks are passing quickly and the sirens of the transfer market have already begun to make their voices heard loudly.
