Many knew about the drama that Evaristo Beccalossi and his family were living, and they had a very hard time keeping it all inside. Among them Enrico Ruggeri, who in 1997 dedicated the song “The playmaker”. "I'm the one to watch, when I feel like playing I'm a slave to the artist in me", the lyrics.
A long-standing friendship between the two, underlined by the artist's words in a moving "post" on social media: "In these months I haven't spoken to anyone, but I've lived this situation with a stone in my stomach. I had invited him on the show to sing "Il fantasista" in front of him. I called him a few days before, he didn't answer the phone. You know the rest. I respected the invitation to silence and discretion, living with terrible anguish, thinking about him every day".
Ruggeri, however, looks ahead: "I can't wait to take him around like we did for forty years. Becca and I have known each other since 1980, each of us knows everything about the other, we have experienced successes and setbacks, victories and defeats together, always making light of things. Now that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I can't wait to spend a day with him. I'll be waiting for you, my brother".GM
