Juve, Allegri tries to recover Chiesa against Milan: 4-4-2 temptation
Without Pogba and Fagioli, Max must reinvent the midfield. Vlahovic and Milik are favorites to start in attack with Federico starting from the bench. In defense Danilo is out

Federico Chiesa, 25 years old
Turin, 20 October 2023 – It's always changing Juve. It's not a whim, after all Massimiliano Allegri just a month ago against Lazio they already proposed, after 112 different formations, the same lineup as the previous match. Against the Milan, on Sunday evening, the 'allegrata' will be de rigueur again and there are always injuries involved. With Pogba e beans out for well-known reasons, the idea is to field only two central midfielders – Locatelli and Rabiot - in a 4-4-2 whose intrinsic guarantee of coverage will have as its counterpoint the innovations in terms of interpreters.
With Danilo, Alex Sandro and De Sciglio ko in defense, the central defenders should be Gatti and Bremer. The unpublished could be represented by Weah full back on the right, with Cambiaso major candidate on the other side. The candidates will be as midfielders McKennie on the right – also an 'atypical' one who however Max was able to adapt well to the new role – and Kostic.
For the attack, here is the recovery Vlahovic together with Milik, with Chiesa who will try until the end to be there by initially running for the bench.
The choice of 4-4-2 goes against a principle often applied by Allegri, that of thickening the midfield by focusing on insertions, but the injury picture is veering towards the alarming and the cases of Fagioli and Pogba they force us to revolutionize everything again. Hoping that this season, like the last one, will not be conditioned to a large extent by the heavy traffic in the infirmary.
