Turin, 27 April 2025 - He couldn't be wrong and he doesn't make a mistake. JuventusAt the Allianz Stadium, the Bianconeri beat the Monza for 2-0, thanks to the first half goals by Nico Gonzalez e kolo muani, and despite the expulsion for elbowing Star (the Turk will miss the Champions League clash with Bologna, but risks not being there against Lazio too). The success at the expense of the Brianza team - now virtually relegated - returns fourth place to the Old Lady, waiting for the result of Bologna, who will play tomorrow in Udine.

The choices of the two coaches

Juventus (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Veiga, Kelly; McKennie, Locatelli, Thuram, Cambiaso; Gonzalez, Yildiz; Kolo Muani. Coach: Tudor.

Monza (3-5-2): Turati; Pedro Pereira, Caldirola, Carboni; Birindelli, Castrovilli, Akpa Akpro, Bianco, Kyriakopoulos; Mota Carvalho, Caprari. Coach: Nesta.

First half

The first chance of the match came in the 4th minute, when Kolo Muani forced Turati to punch away the Frenchman's acrobatic attempt in a not so convincing save. The Brianza team responded with a central run by Birindelli, who reached the opponent's area and unleashed a left-footed shot blocked by Di Gregorio. From one left-footer to another: the one in the 12th minute by Nico Gonzalez from a distance leaves no escape for the biancorosso goalkeeper and the Piedmontese break the deadlock. The Old Lady could have doubled the lead in the 23rd minute, but Kolo Muani spectacularly wastes Locatelli's assist, sending the ball wide, one-on-one with Turati. Yildiz from a tight angle also fails to hit the target. Madama pushes, but Kolo Muani makes another mistake, mishandling the stop and allowing Turati to come out low. The local number 20 redeems himself in the 34th minute: after Yildiz's recovery, Thuram forcefully leads his team's counterattack, serving his compatriot the assist that kolo muani transforms into 2-0. Tudor's troops are in total control, but right at the end of the first half Star commits a naivety, elbowing Bianco when the ball was far away. After reviewing the episode at the VAR, the referee Berenzoni he pulls out the red card.

Second half

With the extra man, Nesta's team pushed from the start of the second half in search of the goal that would reopen the match. Di Gregorio was alert on Birindelli's close-range header, then Castrovilli kicked high. But in the 58th minute, after the entries of Savona and Weah, Juve came close to scoring the third with Nico Gonzalez, whose left foot was too weak to beat Turati. The first substitutions for the guests too, with Forson and Petagna coming on. Monza once again threatened in the opponent's area, with Castrovilli's cross-shot ending up wide. More changes on both sides: for the Turin team it was Alberto Costa's turn, while on the Brianza front we had Sensi, Ciurria and Vignato. Madama kept a good watch, so much so that the only risk they ran in the final minutes was a header from Caprari that was blocked by Di Gregorio. And so after four minutes of injury time the home team can celebrate their return to victory.
