Lecce-Bologna 1-1: a penalty for a foul on the goalkeeper decides the match in the 100th minute

Lecce, 3 December 2023 – Il Bologna they achieved their second consecutive victory, but had to surrender in the 100th minute. The rossoblù dominated for most of the match and took the lead with the jewel of a free kick by Lykogiannis, but practically at the photo finish they suffered a draw Little ones after strictness assigned by Doveri (recalled to the monitor by the VAR) for withholding of Calafiori on Falcone. The choices of D'Aversa and Motta

D'Aversa relaunches Strefezza from the 1st minute, the Lecce captain acts in the trident together with Banda and Krstovic, still starting at the expense of Piccoli. Fabbian again in midfield and not Freuler with Ferguson and Aebischer, in defense Beukema surprisingly remains out: Lucumi plays alongside Calafiori, Posch and Kristiansen are there as full-backs.

Scoreless first half

Lecce started better, coming close to scoring in the 3rd minute: corner taken by Strefezza for a left-footed volley from Dorgu, careful Skorupski who blocks a corner kick. In the 12th minute Bologna also comes forward: ndoye he runs away from Dorgu and once at the back he looks for a strong low cross, Falcone did well to spread out and anticipate the rossoblù attackers who had filled the penalty area. In the 24th minute, another attempt by Lecce, certainly more enterprising than Bologna: Gonzalez he receives on the trocar and lets loose a fireball with his right, the central trajectory does not surprise Skorupski who rejects with his fists. At 31' another chance for Gonzalez, this time much more delicious: insidious cross from Banda which finds the Lecce midfielder at the far post, good at anticipating Kristiansen but not finding the winning impact with the ball. Bologna reaction in the 40th minute, well done ndoye to escape once again to Dorgu and kick with the right: Falcone still says no.

Sensational finale at Via del Mare
