Lecce Sassuolo 1-1, a point worth double: Berardi unlocks it, no one closes it

The neroverdi emerge unscathed from the 'Via del mare' fort with four debutants and also many absences

They will be worth a lot , even on a media level, those victories against the big teams with which Sassuolo repaints its epic, but they are also worth equals like these, held with the teeth and brought home not without suffering that cements the group.

Because the points they are points, and when they are made they must be put away even if there are no trumpet blasts and spotlights on to accompany them. The point collected in Lecce weighs heavily for Sassuolo, and it weighs heavily for Alessio Dionisi, who on the eve of the game wanted answers and got them from a half-redesigned team, thanks to absences, tiredness and debuts which nevertheless rose to 10 and held on well awareness that grows, despite a more difficult commitment than the caliber of the opponent would suggest, New team, from the 1st minute, for four elevenths, for Alessio Dionisi, with Ferrari captain and part of the foreign legion (Pedersen, Racic, Castillejo ) which had not been seen since the start. Sassuolo is old, on the other hand, in the sense that the black-green team immediately shows the usual difficulty in finding its balance. Not a great encouragement if you are returning, like Sassuolo, from a defeat, and if you have to redeem yourself against a team that, based on the standings in hand, is better off than you, with two points more and a frightening home performance, which says 9 points out of 11 homemade. The start of the match seems to confirm the assumption: Lecce pushes more and combines better, comes close to scoring with Rafia (well done Erlic) and Strefezza (well done Consigli) and marks, in its own way, a territory beyond which Sassuolo appears seemingly unrealistic, but with the effectiveness you don't expect. The first incursion does not reward Castllejo (16'), the second does not exalt Racic (18', block by Pongracic) but the third pushes Sassuolo forward, thanks to a quick hand from Baschirotto which gives the usual Berardi the opportunity to move the match on rigor. The balance shifts, Lecce reacts by going just a few centimeters from equal with Krstovic who takes the post and revives the home team, protagonists of a one-sided first-half finale during which Consigli allows Sassuolo to arrive at a long-awaited interval.

From which However, Lecce appeared in a frenzy at the end of the first half: the Giallorossi needed 3' to equalize (Krstovic) and to respond to the aforementioned balance. They seem to suffer, even mentally, against the neroverdi, but if in the first half they started again, as the minutes went by they struggled to find measures and distances. And that offensive danger that seems to fade even in a Lecce that settles the match, finding support in a Sassuolo that is not submissive but that seems to begin to reckon, from midway through the second half, with the possibility - concrete - of moving the table. And he brings them back, preparing to wait: Lecce, in turn fresh from two knockouts, tries to sketch out a tight end in the final with two fresh strikers. Moral? One point for one, we'll think about the rest after the break.
