Milan Market between guarantees and talents. Yes to Modric and Xhaka, but with Leoni
Tare's eye on experienced and future profiles: in the ds' notebook also the "star" Fortini of Fiorentina

Giovanni Leoni, central defender born in 2006, returning from the season in Parma
From the (more than) guaranteed used to the green line, if not very green. The incoming market of Milan continues on two opposite and parallel roads. Waiting for Luka Modric, engaged in the final catwalk of the Club World Cup after 13 years of Real Madrid, yielded 28 titles and a Golden Ball. For the 39-year-old Croatian, after the medicals, a one-year contract with an option on the second at around 4 million per season is ready. Same salary that Milan put on the table for Granit Xhaka: here, instead, the agreement would go until 2028, the same duration as the one in place with Bayer Leverkusen, where the Swiss earns just under 3 million per year. The midfielder would have accepted and has been liked by Igli Tare since his time at Basel: no Lazio, then, but Borussia Monchengladbach, then Arsenal, finally Leverkusen. The Germans have already lost players of the caliber of Jonathan Tah (Bayern Munich), Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz (Liverpool) and are strong with the three-year contract with Xhaka. The Rossoneri value him at 10 million plus 2 in bonuses, but in Germany they are not considered sufficient and, indeed, there is a feeling of a closed door. Not in our parts. The game is wide open, here.
Open in relation to Javi Guerra: the first Rossoneri offer of 16 million plus 4 in bonuses has been sent back to the sender. Valencia would ask for at least 25 million in fixed part, complaining about the sword of Damocles of 30% of the proceeds to be allocated to Villarreal, the previous owner of the registration. In via Aldo Rossi a relaunch is planned, while the Spanish club is trying to renew (without success) the contract with the 22-year-old midfielder of the Under 21 national team that will expire in June 2027. Javi Guerra is at the top of the list in midfield, as is Giovanni Leoni in defense. In recent days, the CEO of Parma, Federico Cherubini, sent a message about the 18-year-old to competitors, including Inter and Juventus: "He is not for sale". The club that launched him in the top flight, after his experience in Serie B with Sampdoria, has reportedly already rejected an offer of 25 million and does not look favorably on the inclusion of counterparts, while the Rossoneri are said to be oriented towards starting with 15 by adding Lorenzo Colombo after the season at Empoli. We'll see, but Milan, like the other Italian clubs along with the usual Premier League, is studying what to do. Also on another young starlet: Niccolò Fortini. The left back will return to Fiorentina after a year on loan at Juve Stabia: 27 appearances, 2 goals and 4 assists for the 19-year-old.
The right flank also needs to be covered, despite the versatility of Alexis Saelemaekers: Kyle Walker will not be redeemed, Alessandro Florenzi's contract expires in a few days (as does Davide Calabria, after his loan to Bologna), Emerson Royal is leaving. Here, among the profiles being followed, there are Vanderson (24 years old, Monaco), Marc Pubill (22 years old, Almeria) and Guela Doué (22 years old, Strasbourg). Milan will start training at Milanello on Monday 7 July, under the orders of Massimiliano Allegri who will be officially presented on that day. The team is still an open construction site, with the centre-forward issue still to be resolved: at the moment especially between Dusan Vlahovic and Moise Kean, with the related issues related to salary in one case and termination clause in the other. And still the shadow of Bayern Munich on Rafa Leao, the failure to renew Mike Maignan's contract expiring in 2026, the head-on confrontation with Theo Hernandez who continues to reject Al Hilal. It's time to accelerate, in every sense.
