Milan, 15 March 2025 – The victory obtained in a comeback and at the last gasp against Lecce, represented a first, timid step of the Milan to try to escape the spiral of negative results into which the Rossoneri have fallen after a nightmare February and attempt to fuel the pursuit of a place in Europe. Today at 18 (match live and streaming exclusively on DAZN), Conceiçao's men are however called to a maturity test of capital importance against Como. An exam that the Rossoneri have reached after a week full of work: “It was very important – explained the Milan coach Sergio Conceicao in the press conference – for us to work on certain game situations and on the physique. Something we needed. The boys in terms of spirit have given a fantastic response. I really like their spirit because even in training they are very cheerful and happy”. Is the Champions League still the objective? “We – continues Conceiçao – work and fight every day to have a revolution. If this is there, the results also improve, but we have to think about the present and now there is a difficult match against Como. I don't want to look too far ahead. We have to work day by day and you can see the desire in the boys to do it. They have given me an extraordinary response in these two weeks full of work. We will have to continue on this path and then in the end we will do the math”. What is certain is that the bar of the difficulty coefficient against Como will be raised. Fabregas' team arrives at San Siro with a score of just one defeat (and two victories) in their last four games. The Catalan coach, however, wants to take the Rossoneri with a pinch of salt: "They are a team that scores often and whoever comes on must be ready to immediately insert themselves into the dynamics of the match. It's normal because they are a Champions League team. We are making our debut in Serie A and we will have to improve. It's a question of time". The Catalan, included in the list of possible candidates for the Rossoneri bench starting next year, then revealed a background story about the past: "I spoke with Milan in 2016, at 29 years old, at the height of my career. Then, however, I stayed at Chelsea because I wanted to show Mister Conte that I could integrate perfectly into his system".

Possible choices for Conceiçao and Fabregas

Conceicao seems intent on continuing to rely on 4-2-3-1: Maignan will return to the Rossoneri goalposts after his suspension, shielded by a back four formed by Walker, Gabbia, Pavlovic – ahead of Thiaw – and Theo Hernandez. The Bondo-Musah pairing could be proposed in midfield, with Fofana back on the bench at least initially. Reijnders should instead operate in the attacking midfield alongside Pulisic and Leao – back from the start – and behind Gimenez. Same form for Fabregas' Como: after serving his disqualification, Kenpf will return to the starting lineup in front of Butez, forming a four-man line with Solcic, Goldaniga and Valle. The midfield dam will instead be formed by Caqueret and Da Cunha. Strefezza, Nico Paz and Diao will instead be the three supporting the striker Cutrone, ex of the evening. Times and where to watch the match: the Milan-Como match, valid as an advance of the 29th round of the Serie A championship, will be visible on Saturday 15 March, at 18 pm, live exclusively on DAZN and DAZN 1 and streaming on the DAZN website and app.
